Paymob Partners with Oman’s Zumr to Digitize Money Circles for Financial Empowerment

Muscat, Oman – Paymob, a leading Egypt-based digital payments platform, has announced a strategic partnership with Zumr, Oman’s innovative fintech solution for digitizing money circles (الجمعيات), in a move aimed at revolutionizing community-based savings and financial empowerment across the Sultanate.

Money circles, or informal group savings systems, have long played a crucial role in promoting financial inclusion for individuals with limited access to formal banking services. By partnering with Zumr, a graduate of the Central Bank of Oman’s Fintech Accelerator program, Paymob is helping to drive the digital transformation of payments in this traditional space.

This partnership will enable seamless online payments for Zumr’s platform, expanding access to money circles and enhancing financial opportunities for underserved communities. The initiative also aligns with Oman’s national economic diversification strategy, supporting broader goals of innovation and financial inclusion.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with Zumr, an innovative force in Oman’s fintech landscape,” said Youssef Tinawi, Paymob spokesperson. “Together, we aim to empower communities by making financial services more accessible and convenient, particularly for those outside the reach of traditional banking.”

By integrating Paymob’s secure and scalable digital payment solutions into Zumr’s platform, the partnership will further streamline the process of pooling and managing funds within money circles, offering greater transparency, efficiency, and security for participants.

This collaboration marks a significant milestone in advancing fintech innovation in the region and underscores the role of technology in fostering financial empowerment and economic resilience.
