San Francisco/Cairo – April 4, 2025 — Stakpak, Inc., the company behind the first AI-powered Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for software infrastructure, today announced it has raised $500,000 in a pre-seed funding round led by P1 Ventures, with participation from Digital Currency Group, 500 Sanabil, and prominent angel investors including Moataz Soliman and Omar Gabr, co-founders of Instabug.
The funding will primarily be used to scale Stakpak’s business and operations team in the United States, while accelerating the growth of its engineering and product team in Egypt. This dual-market strategy aims to support the company’s U.S. market expansion and further develop its AI-driven DevOps capabilities.
Tackling the $51 Billion DevOps Inefficiency Problem
Software infrastructure development remains a major bottleneck in the software industry, with complexity and inefficiencies costing U.S. companies an estimated $51 billion annually. Stakpak aims to fix this broken model with an AI-first approach. Its platform leverages autonomous AI agents and an AI-powered IDE that reduce the time it takes to build production-ready infrastructure from weeks to hours.
Early adopters have reported dramatic gains in productivity. Some teams have built projects 5x faster, while completing migration tasks 16x faster, all without needing specialized DevOps expertise. For engineering teams of 100+ full-time developers, this can result in six- to seven-figure savings annually.
Backing from Global and Regional Heavyweights
“We’ve been impressed by George’s vision for Stakpak and inspired by the quality of his product and his relentless speed of execution, despite limited resources,” said Mikael Hajjar, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at P1 Ventures. “We believe his domain expertise—built through experience as an early engineer in the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East—uniquely positions him to build a global business.”
CEO Vision: Building a Global Product from Egypt
“We’re delighted to have some of the most innovative investors in our region back us,” said George Fahmy, Founder and CEO of Stakpak, Inc. “We’re building a globally competitive product with many of our team members from Egypt and Africa. In 2024, we built the most reliable code generation for Infrastructure-as-Code, like Terraform and OpenTofu. This year, we’re launching the most dependable AI Agent for DevOps work—unlocking massive value for software businesses globally.”
Real Impact for Developers
Early customers are already seeing significant benefits. Rami Elsawy, CTO at CheckFirst AI, shared: “As a team of developers with limited experience in DevOps, we were blown away by how Stakpak helped us streamline our infrastructure setup.”
Maged Shalaby, Head of Engineering at Preventia, echoed the sentiment: “AWS is now a hundred times easier. I wish we had this three years ago.”
